Savour the sights, sounds and smells of the orchards during this guided sensory walking tour. Along the way participants will enjoy listening to stories of ‘Cabbage Lake’ and the features of this lake including the original Bawn, the Lime Kilns, The Hermitage , The Crannog, Cottage and the Walled Garden.
Learn of the biodiversity of the park, such as the wildlife, tree planting, hedge laying, bird conservation, range of habitats.
Hear about The Orchard Trust and it’s rare breeds of apples plus the wide range of activities on offer in the park all year round. The role of AFBI (Agri-foods & Biosciences Institute) located on the estate, with their agricultural programmes as well as their input with growers and farmers.
