Sean O’Casey – His Life & Times

Armagh Robinson Library

4.00pm-5.00pm | Armagh Robinson Library

“Proud, Protestant and Poor”, was a description given to Sean O’Casey by one of his many biographers.  A communicant of the Church of Ireland until his early twenties, he was introduced to Irish nationalism and Gaelic culture becoming a self-taught Gaeilgeoir.  Iain Frazer's presentation of his life and times will explore the social environment that shaped his life and influenced his work as arguably Ireland’s greatest dramatist.
