Jennifer Nansubuga Makumbi is a Ugandan novelist and short story writer. Her first novel, Kintu, won the Kwani Manuscript Project 2013 and was published by Oneworld in 2018. She was awarded the 2014 Commonwealth Short Story Prize for her story Let's Tell This Story Properly. Jennifer was a recipient of the prestigious Windham-Campbell Literature Prize in 2018 and her first full story collection, Manchester Happened, has just been published. Jennifer will be in conversation with Maureen Boyle, prizewinning poet, memoirist and teacher.
