Photographer and visual artist Riona Kearns will take you step-by-step through the process of transferring your photographic images onto wood and fabric to create a fresh new artwork style which can then be embellished with a range of unique contemporary finishes. Working from your personal photographs, Riona will demonstrate how to breathe new life into old photos by adding colour to black and white photos through embroidery and painting techniques. Create quirky frames for your artworks by using colourful wool and threads. At the end of the workshop, you will have transformed your chosen images into beautiful new artworks in textile and wood.

This workshop is suitable for beginners or anyone with an interest in textile, print or photography. All materials supplied; however, participants are asked to bring their own personal photographs to work from not larger than size A5.
