Explore the colours, textures and patterns of Autumn in this botanical printing workshop with Ruth Osborne. Learn the process of hand printing techniques onto Irish linen using natural plant material to create unique artworks. You will use fresh seasonal and dried foliage and the associated folklore and symbolism of plants to create a range of artworks that connect to the local landscape through expressive marks and patterns. Working with coloured paints and inks you will learn how to create washed backgrounds to complement your printed plant and foliage designs.
Frames will be provided so that you can select a piece of printed work to mount and frame as an artwork that is ready to hang at home.
