LINO PRINTING

In this beginner’s lino print class, visual artist Hazel Boland will guide you on how to use various lino cutting tools and techniques to sculpt and carve your own original lino design. Using imagery of your choice or pictures supplied by the tutor to work from, you will learn to create depth and pattern for positive and negative space to create maximum printing detail. You will roll your design with a selection of printing inks, which will be transferred onto small pieces of linen and plywood to create your own original series of artwork.
All art materials supplied, however, participants should bring an apron or old shirt and any imagery of choice to work from.
