Taylor Lally
Marketplace Theatre
028 3752 1821

Taylor Lally showed a great passion for music from a young age, enjoying tin whistle and clarinet lessons in school. For Christmas 2011 she received her first guitar from her father who hoped she would carry on the family hobby of playing music.

She became enchanted with the instrument and inspired by James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, and Bob Marley, started writing her own songs, eventually attending BIMM [British Institute of Modern Music] in both Brighton and Dublin to study music performance, graduating with a degree in songwriting.

She has recently opened shows for Steve Forbert and Mary Coughlan, receiving standing ovations, and has also been awarded the coveted Artist In Residence spot at this year’s Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival.

Taylor will be supported by Northern Irish artist Marty Rafo, who has been stirring up quite a bit of interest in the music industry since the release of his first two EP's ‘Last Brigade’ and ‘Atlantic Crossing’.

This event takes place in our Studio Theatre with an unreserved, cabaret style seating layout.
