Jimmy and Mickey are two young Irishmen during the Great Famine and they are saving to buy passage to America. When Mickey finds out the local English Landlord has the last potato in Ireland on display in his barn, he decides to steal it and sell it himself, however things go awry and they cook up a hair brained scheme to scam the Landlord and escape to America.
