Kathleen McCracken was born in Canada andlives in Northern Ireland. Her eight poetry collections include Blue Light, Bay and College (shortlisted for the Governor General’s Award for Poetry), and the bilingual English/Portuguese Double Self Portrait with Mirror: New and Selected Poems. She was a finalist for the Montreal International Prize, The Walrus Poetry Prize, and the CBC Poetry Prize. In 2019 she won the Seamus Heaney Award for New Writing and from 1992-2022 was Lecturer in Creative Writing and Contemporary Literature at Ulster University.

Milena Williamson was born in America and lives in Northern Ireland. She has a PhD in poetry from the Seamus Heaney Centre at Queen’s University and is the recipient of an Eric Gregory Award. She is the author of the pamphlet Charm for Catching a Train (Green Bottle Press) and a debut collection Into the Night that Flies So Fast (Dedalus Press). Her writing about Bridget Cleary has been supported by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and the Ireland Chair of Poetry. She was the 2023 Ciaran Carson Writing and the City Fellow.
