MOBO-nominated drummer and composer David Lyttle has performed in around 50 countries since emerging on the Irish jazz scene almost 20 years ago. He has collaborated with jazz icons from Joe Lovano to Kurt Rosenwinkel and his 11 diverse albums/EPs include appearances from Talib Kweli and Liam Neeson among others. He is the founder of NI youth music charity Jazzlife Alliance as well as its flagship national jazz programme Jazz Juniors and he recently performed for President Michael D. Higgins at Áras an Uachtaráin.
In his first NI tour since 2018, David will welcome US trumpet icon Terell Stafford in an all-star quartet of leading jazz musicians. A long-term member of the Village Vanguard Orchestra, Terell has worked in the groups of jazz greats such as McCoy Tyner, Benny Golson and Kenny Barron and released 9 albums as a leader.
This event will take place in our studio theatre with an unreserved, tiered seating layout.
