The Blue Plaque Tour

Starting point: John O’Connor Plaque, Banbrook Hill, Armagh

Finishing Point:  Armagh County Museum.

Tour Description: Join our new walking tour as we hunt for the Blue Plaques honouring some of the city's greatest residents. Blue Plaques are commemorative plaques in public places, in towns and villages all over Ulster, in honour of men and women who have contributed to the Province’s history. Explore the legacy of the actor, the antiquarian, the astronomer, the minister, the museum curator and the writer who put Armagh on the map. This new experience connects the dots between the city's iconic Blue Plaques on a mile-long journey of discovery.

Note: This 2.5 hour tour covering approx 0.6km includes steep inclines, it starts and finishes at different locations, it is a 15 minute walk from the finishing point back to the starting point.Please consult city centre maps for parking options https://visitarmagh.com/visitor-information/download-maps/.

A moderate to good level of fitness is advisable for this experience, as is all-weather clothing and comfortable footwear.It is suitable for children aged 10+ accompanied by an adult.
