Armagh County Club 

The Life and Adventures of Armagh Surgeon Leonard Gillespie: Naval Surgeon to Admiral Lord Nelson. Dr Gillespie was born in Armagh and educated at the city’s Royal School. He was apprenticed at the age of 14 before completing studies in Anatomy and Surgery, at Trinity College. Dr Gillespie was commissioned into the Royal Navy, a service that would take him to New York, Antigua , Paris and London. He notably sailed under Admirals Howe and Nelson. Learn of his travels and witness some of his medical treatments now that he has returned home to Armagh.
