Concert Programme: Carl Maria von Weber – Concertino for Clarinet and Orchestra | Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – Sinfonia Concertante for Four Winds | Ludwig van Beethoven – Symphony No. 4

The Ulster Orchestra is delighted to return to The Market Place Theatre, once again in the company of its Principal Guest Artist, clarinettist and conductor Michael Collins. Weber’s Concertino for Clarinet and Orchestra is a total showpiece for the instrument; a rollercoaster journey through rich lyricism and rapid, virtuoso runs that shoot through the piece like fireworks. Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante is an elegant and poised work featuring solo clarinet, oboe, bassoon and horn, while Beethoven’s Fourth Symphony provides a burst of musical sunshine to close.
