Charles Wood Choral Festival  2026

Marking 100 years since the death of renowned Armagh-born composer Charles Wood, the Charles Wood Festival Centenary returns to Armagh from 16–23 August 2026 with a programme of exceptional choral music, concerts, workshops, competitions and special events.

Founded in 1994, the Festival has become one of Ireland’s leading choral celebrations, attracting performers, conductors and music enthusiasts from across the UK, Ireland and beyond. The centenary programme includes world-class performances, new commissions, the unveiling of the first permanent bust of Charles Wood and the launch of a new biography by Professor Jeremy Dibble.

Whether you’re a devoted choral music fan or simply looking to experience the rich musical heritage of Armagh, the Charles Wood Festival offers a memorable week of music, culture and celebration.
