William Shakespeare | Adapted by Nathan Martin

A dark and visceral descent into madness, power and the brutal bonds of family.

“O, let me not be mad, not mad, sweet heaven!”

Three daughters. One kingdom. A family willing to destroy itself for power.

When King Lear decides to divide his kingdom between his three daughters, he demands one thing in return: their love, spoken aloud and proven to him.

But when pride, ambition and betrayal take hold, the family Lear thought he could command begins to turn against him and each other, sending a once-powerful King spiralling into madness.

As Lear loses his crown, his authority and finally his grip on reality, his daughters are forced to confront just how far they are willing to go to claim what they believe is theirs.

This event will take place in our studio theatre with an unreserved, tiered seating layout
