Enjoy a guided tour exploring the rich history of Armagh city. From pre-historic Ireland to an unmatched Georgian architecture, modern day Armagh is built against a rich backdrop of history,clearly visible through its historic buildings and open spaces.

For those who want to explore everything the city has to offer, a guided walking tour is a must. You’ll walk through Armagh’s rich history as you hear stories and anecdotes about the area, learn about the city’s renowned Georgian architecture and stroll along the distinct cobbled streets as you unearth some hidden gems along the way.

The tours operate every Thursday – Sunday from Thursday 20 June – Saturday 31 August 2019 running at 11am and 2pm, departing from Armagh Visitor Information Centre.. Tickets cost £4.00 per person.

The Story of Armagh: Part 1

This tour will explore the following topics, Archbishops/Royalty/Macha/Angels and Gargoyles

  • Please be advised that this tour will involve walking up some hills

2:00pm Tour

The Story of Armagh:Part 2

This tour will explore the following topics, Architecture/Robinson/The Mall/Street Art/Georgian/Heritage

  • Please be advised that this tour will involve walking down some hills
  • “The Story of Armagh Part 2” has not as many hills, as it will only take in College Street, the Mall and Russell Street back to Visitor Information Centre to finish, one of the reasons for having the two tours was that one would be an easier option for those who are perhaps not as mobile or as fit to climb the steeper hills.
