During European Heritage Open Day 2026, come inside the historic Georgian Observatory and meet Museum staff, who will be sharing the history and showing some of the treasures from the collection.

In 1790 the Armagh Observatory was founded, and since then has survived and thrived as a scientific institution, family home and museum.

From the 1798 Rising to the Moon Landing and the New Millennium, every period has been fraught with challenges and triumphs, and there are many stories to tell.
