Food & Drink

Boyles is no ordinary pub. This is a community minded pub and restaurant which serves a great selection of beers, exquisite food and promises brilliant live entertainment and great banter over the bar. Boyles of Dromore has been a prominent location in the County Down town for over 250 years so it’s no surprise that the Castle Street award winning restaurant and pub pulls people in from far and wide. Voted the Readers Favourite Restaurant 2014 at the Banbridge and District Business Awards, owner Damien Carson is proud to manage his team who are noted on TripAdvisor as ‘the friendliest ever, courteous, pleasant, engaging, attentive and great craic’.
Complimenting the pub is the award-winning restaurant which is intimate, full of character and charm. Head chef Ray Malcolmson is the man in the kitchen who makes it all happen. Whether you want something From The Sea, From The Field or a chip off Boyle’s Butcher’s Block, you will leave with a smile on your face. With a varied menu and lots of food envy, you will keep coming back to try more! Ray has worked as a chef since 1982, from a commis chef at The White Gables Hotel in Hillsborough to senior chef de partie in St Andrews in Scotland, to sous chef in Bermuda at the Fisherman’s Reef and Restaurant. With such a colourful culinary curriculum vitae, it’s no surprise he has won the Taste of Ulster Award. Furthermore, when he was the Executive Chef in Tullylagan Country House Hotel, they won the Best County Hotel Restaurant Award.
