Afternoon: I didn’t expect family fun in the fast lane
Looking for a little friendly competition? Gosford Karting offers high-speed fun for older children, teens and competitive parents alike, making it the perfect stop for families looking to add a little adrenaline to their day.

Afternoon: I didn’t expect this much adventure in one forest
After all that action, slow the pace and stretch your legs in one of Northern Ireland’s largest forest parks. With winding woodland trails, hidden castle views, adventure play areas and plenty of space to roam, Gosford Forest Park is the perfect place for families to unwind and explore together.

Day 2: Out Of This World Family Fun

Morning: I Didn’t Expect To Travel Among The Stars
One of Northern Ireland’s leading family visitor attractions, blast off for an out-of-this-world family adventure at Armagh Planetarium. Journey through space in the immersive 360° Digital Theatre, discover distant galaxies, get hands-on in the interactive exhibition area and come face-to-face with the largest meteorite on the island of Ireland. With family-friendly dome shows, interactive exhibits and a packed programme of seasonal events, there’s something to inspire astronauts of all ages.
Top Tip: Visit on a Thursday during July and August for Meet an Astronomer, a unique opportunity to meet real scientists, ask questions and discover the wonders of the universe firsthand.

Afternoon: I Didn’t Expect So Much Adventure To Choose From
- Option 1: Infinity Adventure Centre
Looking to burn off some energy? Infinity Adventure Centre is packed with family fun, featuring indoor climbing challenges, exciting play zones and activities designed to keep children entertained for hours. Slow the pace and discover a different kind of family adventure at The Argory. Take on the Summer of Play trail, build a den, brave the barefoot walk, play lawn tennis, stage your own show and enjoy plenty of space to run, explore and play together. Pack a picnic or stop for an ice cream in the courtyard before exploring the riverside estate and beautiful grounds.
