‘Leaving, Lovingly’ is the debut solo exhibition of new oil paintings by Armagh-born artist Zoë O’Hare. A self-taught artist, Zoë’s work is deeply rooted in what she has lived, learned, and loved. Her paintings emerge as a form of emotional excavation. The series explores the quiet complexity of leaving a relationship with care, respect, and foresight, recognising what can no longer be sustained.
Using a restrained palette of pinks and reds, traditionally associated with love and romance, the paintings create a subtle tension that reframes separation as an act of devotion, where absence remains tender and love continues in another form.
