Open Call: Artist in Residence 2026–2027

Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council is inviting applications for a year‑long Artist in Residence programme based at The Market Place Theatre & Arts Centre, Armagh. Co-funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, this residency offers a significant opportunity for a professional artist working in Northern Ireland to deepen their practice while contributing to the cultural life of one of the region’s most vibrant boroughs.

The selected artist will receive dedicated studio time, professional support, and the chance to collaborate with schools, community groups and local organisations, shaping a year of meaningful creative engagement. The residency runs from 09 March 2026 to 05 March 2027, with a total value of £20,000, including fees and materials.
