Pigment and Earth is an exploration into our connection with the land. Inspired by the landscape of home, Jude Fenton uses a combination of natural dyeing techniques, fabric manipulation and stitch to represent the idea of places leaving energetic imprints on our minds just as we leave behind our footsteps on the land. She celebrates the homeland that cradles our memories, by gathering colours from the earth allowing the spirit of the land to be infused into the work itself so that it transcends the mere visual alone.
