This site is one of Ireland’s most significant archaeological landmarks, with our guided tours providing a unique opportunity to delve into the mysteries of the great temple, constructed around 95 BC, and discover the fascinating history behind its creation. Our expert guides will lead you through the complex, explaining the latest discoveries and theories about the site’s use – from its status as one of the Royal Sites of Ireland (collectively on the Tentative List for World Heritage Status) to its spiritual significance in ancient society. Archaeological digs have unearthed a wealth of artefacts, some of which are now on display in our newly updated exhibition space.

Your visit also includes living history demonstrations from our clan of Celts. These costumed interpreters bring the past to life through interactive performances immersing you in life in the Iron Age and providing a real insight into the people who once called this powerful site home.
