Come and join botanical artist Alison Walker for a full-day workshop exploring the delicate beauty of seasonal rosehips through the art of watercolour painting. Set in the beautiful surroundings of the Navan Centre & Fort, this workshop is perfect for complete beginners and those with some experience alike.

The day will begin with an introduction to observational drawing, learning how to closely study form and structure to create a botanically accurate image. You'll then explore how to bring your drawing to life with gentle watercolour techniques, capturing the vibrant colours and textures of this iconic late-summer plant.

All materials are provided, and a selection of seasonal flowers will be available to work from. Lunch is included, making this the perfect opportunity to relax, learn, and enjoy a day of creativity.

Alison Walker is a botanical artist based in Co. Antrim and a graduate of the Belfast School of Art. She is a member of the Irish Society of Botanical Artists and regularly teaches classes and workshops across the region. Alison is passionate about guiding others—especially beginners—into this calming and rewarding art form.
