By now an annual highlight of JHISS, multi award-winning Armagh writer, Stuart Neville, invites two of the most popular and critically acclaimed crime writers to join him for this Crime Fiction Special. The author of ten best-selling novels, his new book, Blood Like Mine, is due out this Summer.

Liz Nugent is a writer of award-winning psychological suspense novels Unravelling Oliver (2014), Lying in Wait (2016), Skin Deep (2018), [Our] Little Cruelties (2020) and Strange Sally Diamond (2023). All five books topped the Irish bestsellers list and Liz has won multiple literary awards including Crime Novel of the Year at the 2023  Irish Book Awards.In October  2017, Liz won the Irish Woman of the Year Award for Literature and in February 2021.

Chris Brookmyre is one of the most popular crime writers in the UK and first novel, Quite Ugly One Morning, won the First Blood Award in 1996 for the best first crime novel of the year. Twenty-six further novels have followed, garnering him many awards, including the Theakston’s Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year award in 2017 for Black Widow. His next novel, The Cracked Mirror, a cross-genre hybrid of Agatha Christie and Michael Connolly, will be published this Summer.
