What's On

Woodland Supper
Old Game Keepers House
For one night only the Chapman Family are hosting the annual Food & Cider Weekend Woodland Supper in the picturesque garden of their home beside Gosford Forest Park, the Old Game Keepers House.
The Chapman Family have recently taken On the Hoof into premises, a beautiful stone barn situated in the countryside between Richhill heading to Hamiltonsbawn, in the County Armagh heartland, but the Woodland Supper event has the exclusivity element of being held at their own home garden at the Old Game Keepers House.
Fiona and the family will greet you on arrival to a drinks reception around the flickering Flames of their outdoor kitchen fire pit. Months in advance preparations for the evening begin with the start of the foraging Season bringing the wild garlic harvest, which is dried to be used later. Preserving through the summer, whatever nature gives into pickles and preserves cordials and chutneys, nothing is wasted. Fiona uses them throughout the menu to give wonderful flavoursome food. The meal itself will be cooked over applewood consisting of four courses and with a nod to all things apple and the best our county has in produce.

Our guests will eat in our amazing stretch tent, filled with candles and garden flowers there is a memorable atmosphere. There is always plenty to eat and good company to be had, with a bit of music thrown in too, we promise to give our guests a night to remember.
