Moo Valley ice cream farm tour
Moo Valley HQ { Gillespie Family Farm}

Moo Valley Artisan Gelato ice cream is located on a family farm, run by third generation farmer, Jonathan Gillespie and his family just outside the village of Killylea in Country Armagh.

Jonathan and his wife Alice will lead a tour at the farm where you will have the opportunity to meet some calves and see them interact in their pen, visit the milking cows whose milk and cream is used to create their artisan gelato ice cream and witness the state-of-the art robotic milking system in action.
Alice creates her handmade artisan gelato ice cream using the farm's own milk, cream and free-range eggs which contains no artificial nasties and she will give you a first-hand account of how this idea evolved and the method and process that she utilises to achieve this.
Finally, you will have the opportunity to sample this irresistible gelato ice cream, which is produced in a variety of delicious flavours from the milk, cream and free-range eggs of the farm. All other fresh ingredients are sourced locally as far as possible. The ice creams are also available to purchase directly from the farm and a number of local outlets.
Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for some other animal friends on the tour! Please wear appropriate footwear such as wellington boots as the event takes place on a farm.
Please note that there will be an alternative for those with dairy allergies.

Should you have any dietary or access requirements, please mention during the booking process and these will be accommodated as far as possible.Please email foodandciderweekend@armaghbanbridgecraigavon.gov.uk for further assistance.
