Learn the foundation skills of making a hat from buckram in this new Millinery workshop guided by award-winning textile artist and designer Enda Kenny. You will learn the fundamentals of creating a 3d shape from a flat 2-dimensional paper pattern. Students will learn the process of covering using gluing and stitching techniques. We will also look at decorating the piece, including how to shape and trim feathers for embellishment. You will learn how to measure a head for size, create a lining for a neat finish and how to secure a hat.

All materials will be provided, however feel free to bring along any particular embellishments you have to add your own unique style to the piece.
