Established in 2019, the Ulster Consort is Northern Ireland’s only paid, professional vocal ensemble. Conducted by internationally-acclaimed conductor, composer and organist Matthew Owens, the Ulster Consort is a flexible group that can range from just a few performers to a group of 40 or more musicians. Each year, the group gives 10-12 performances across Ulster ranging from Renaissance polyphony to Baroque oratorio, through to cutting edge contemporary music.  Read more at www.ulsterconsort.org

A concert by the Ulster Consort – Northern Ireland’s only paid, professional vocal ensemble – to commemorate one of the foremost French composers, Gabriel Fauré, who died on 4 November, 1924. The programme contains some of his best-known works, including the Requiem, which is offered in the season of Remembrance (covering All Souls’ Day, on 2 November, through to Remembrance Sunday, falling this year on Sunday 10 November).
