Just Sing Ladies was formed in September 2021. The choir was set up to encourage ladies living in the Portadown area to leave behind the worries of normal day to day life and simply enjoy the therapeutic benefits of singing.

The choir delights in creating a fun learning environment where ladies from all walks of life, who share a similar passion for singing, can come together and enjoy the art of performing.

The choir has since grown to around 70+ ladies, meeting every Thursday night in the local rugby club.

The ladies sing a wide variety of genres with the aim of promoting a love for singing, developing mental well – being and improving singing technique and musicianship. Most importantly, the ladies use singing as a tool to develop self – confidence and establish positive team work – helping singers feel energized and uplifted!

To date Just Sing has had the opportunity to perform in local churches at a variety of charity events, country estates, museums, WI annual conventions, travel shows, government buildings, Charles Wood community choir weekend and Windsor Castle, as part of the BBC’s coverage of the King’s Coronation Concert.

The choir has also won a variety of prizes at local music festivals. The choir members are delighted to be part of this performance this evening and they trust you will enjoy their music!
