Wine V Cider – 5 Course Small Plate Tasting Menu
Groucho's on the Square

Thursday 3rd September 2026 | 7.00pm – 10.30pm | £60

Enjoy an evening at Groucho’s on the Square, Richhill for an evening to challenge your palate, with a sensational 5 Course Small Plate Tasting Menu. Wine paired with food is an obvious choice, however Armagh Cider Company think that their ciders can stand up to the challenge.

Esther Paul, from Armagh Cider Company will use her experience and cider know-how to go head-to-head with our guest wine expert, Robert Neill of Robert Neill Wines, an independent wine importer dedicated to sourcing authentic, low‑intervention wines from small, quality‑focused growers. Naturally low in sulphites and rich in polyphenols, these exceptional bottles are rarely found elsewhere. Armagh Cider Company grow their own apples for their apple juice and cider from their home farm at Ballinteggart where orchards have been nurtured for more than 100 years. Armagh Cider Company are proud to have been at the forefront of bringing cider production back to the Orchard County. Everything is done in-house, as they say, from Blossom to Bottle.

All products are artisan and handcrafted meaning a completely natural product, containing no artificial ingredients or flavours. The rationale for pairing the selected ciders and wines will be explained for each of the specially curated food courses – these have been prepared by head chef Mervyn Steenson. Ultimately you will decide whether the cider or wine matches each course. Musical accompaniment will enhance this lovely event.
