Savouring Summer: Culinary Delights

This is the Food Heartland with major players as producers and restaurants and cafes. The area is home to two PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) status foods – Lough Neagh eel and the Armagh Bramley Apple.

For food and a learning experience at the same time, why not try at tour at Long Meadow Cider? Two tours take place on various dates across the summer, tastings with apple tart and Granny’s Griddle bread tour offers you a chance to enjoy breads straight from the griddle, piping hot and served with delicious apple juices.

Armagh Cider Company

Discover the craft of cider-making at the Armagh Cider Company’s Blossom to Bottle Tour!  Learn about the history of Ballinteggart and discover the history of the area, farm and family.

Enjoy a welcome drink in the mature grounds, and experience the lifecycle of the orchard.  See how these apples turn into award winning cider, and sample some the range of drinks. Have a dander through the orchards and explore the farm shop!
