Wet Felting Animal Portrait

Thurs 30 March | 6.00pm—9.00pm | £20.00

Join textile artist Carol Willey for this three-hour introduction to wet felting workshop to create a beautiful wet felted animal portrait. You will learn how to card your wool and fibres, layer and blend colours, build and create texture and facial details. At the end of the workshop, you will fit your wet felted artwork to an art frame supplied. Let your felt animal portrait dry at home, frame and hang on the wall for all to see.

All materials provided including images however, you are welcome to bring images of your own choice to work from for inspiration. Please bring a small towel.

Lino Printing – Ply Postcards

Sat 25 March | 1.30pm – 4.30pm | £22.00

In this beginners lino print class visual artist Hazel Boland will guide you how to use various lino cutting tools and techniques to sculpt and carve your own original lino design. Using imagery of your choice or pictures supplied by the tutor to work from you will learn to create depth and pattern for positive and negative space to create maximum printing detail. You will roll your design with a selection of printing inks, which will be transferred onto a small piece of plywood for your own original artwork.

All art materials supplied, however, participants should bring an apron or old shirt and any imagery of choice to work from. (Inspiration could come from traditional holiday postcard images, favourite places, landscapes or nature)
