Filet Crochet

Sat 31 Oct | 10am – 4pm | £30

Filet crochet is a beautiful lace technique using chains and treble stitches to create delicate, vintage-style designs. By working with filled and open mesh spaces and following simple charts, you can form intricate motifs for decorative pieces. In this one-day workshop, you’ll learn the foundations of filet crochet through a series of small practice samples. Explore how to read charts, translate blocks into stitches, and keep your mesh even and neat, progressing from simple shapes to picturebased patterns. Ideal for confident crocheters, this workshop opens up a creative new technique.
A full list of materials will be emailed to participants prior to the class.

Forever Wreaths

Thurs 5 & Thurs 12 Nov (2-weeks) | 7pm – 9pm | £38

Create a timeless ceramic wreath using stoneware clay and handbuilding techniques in this two-week workshop. In week one, you’ll construct your wreath form and develop decorative elements using press moulds, stamps, cutters and specialist clay tools, layering relief patterns and individually crafted motifs to build a rich, textured surface.
In week two, explore a range of underglazes to add depth, colour and definition, enhancing the fine details of your design. Your finished piece will be kiln-fired off-site and returned in time for Christmas decorating.
A beautifully durable, handmade wreath to bring out year after year.
