The Book Of My Life: From Prose To Poetry

Saturday 22 February | 10am – 4pm | £23

Creativity is a way to connect us to the source of the life within our lives. This Creative Writing Workshop (prose and poetry) will guide you back to that source.

Writing about familiar and universal themes, you will be inspired by your own experience to distill your deepest truths and memories to write your own book of life.

You might craft a sentence into a rhyme, a paragraph into a stanza, a thought into a story.

There will also be the opportunity to receive constructive feedback in a safe and friendly environment.

Mary Montague is a poet and writer. She has authored two highly praised collections of poetry, and her work has been published in numerous journals and anthologies (notably, Queering the Green, Lifeboat Press 2021; and The Book of Life, Dedalus Press, 2022). Her poetry has been translated into French, Italian, Russian and German. She is the recipient of several awards from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland. She contributes to The Guardian’s Country Diary and features in a forthcoming prose anthology from Faber.
