Great Masters Acrylic Painting Journey II

Thurs 1 – 22 Oct [4 weeks] 6pm – 9pm | £75

Great Masters is back with new artists to explore in another 4-week series of acrylic painting workshops. Each Thursday, we’ll dive into the styles and stories of iconic painters Franz Marc, Maria Marc, Auguste Macke and Natalia Goncharova, exploring how they saw the world and brought it to life on canvas.
Led by experienced artist Paul King, each session begins with a lively introduction to the artist’s life, techniques, and creative process, followed by a hands-on demo. You’ll experiment with brushwork, technique and colour on quality paper before creating your own A3 canvas masterpiece. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to reignite your passion for painting, this workshop offers a creative experience for all.

Intaglio Printmaking

Sat 28 Nov | 10am – 4pm | £45

Join professional printmaker Joanne Fitzpatrick for a hands-on Intaglio printmaking workshop where you’ll learn the basics of this expressive intaglio technique. Using a sharp needle, you’ll carve your own design into a plastic plate to create a rich, velvety line quality unique to drypoint technique. Unlike traditional etching, this process involves no acids just direct mark-making and inking. Bring an image you’d like to work from, and you will be guided through transferring it onto your plate, inking it up, and printing it using a press. You will go home with a range of art prints ready for framing.
This workshop is perfect for beginners and those curious about printmaking. All materials provided except your reference image. Please bring an apron or old shirt to protect clothing from inks.
