Botanical Gel Plate Printing Workshop

Botanical Gel Plate Printing Workshop

Saturday 5 September, 11:00am-2:00pm

Discover the beauty of nature through print in this inspiring hands-on workshop led by Tina McGleenan, an artist and printmaker based in rural Armagh, Northern Ireland. During this immersive 2.5 hour experience, participants will begin by foraging for suitable vegetation around the Navan Centre grounds before learning the creative process of botanical gel plate printing through a live demonstration. Guided by Tina’s expert tuition, guests will experiment with a variety of papers and natural materials to create one-of-a-kind prints inspired by the textures, shapes and quiet beauty of the natural world.

Throughout the session, Tina offers individual guidance and one-to-one support, making the workshop accessible, enjoyable and rewarding for beginners and creatives alike. Rooted in her deep connection to the landscape, Tina’s work is influenced by the natural world and the comforting cycles of renewal and rebirth found in every season. At the end of the workshop, each participant will leave with two beautifully mounted pieces of artwork to take home, along with a memorable creative experience shaped by place, process and personal expression.
