Kiltariff Hall Country House

Kiltariff Hall is a Victorian Country House on the outskirts of the small historic market town of Rathfriland. Built by Catherine’s great-grandfather William Fegan in 1888, the house is set at the end of a short drive and is surrounded by mature oak, sycamore and pine trees. Run by Catherine who grew up in Kiltariff when it was a working farm, she is passionate and knowledgeable about the Mourne and Banbridge area and believes that providing good locally produced food is key to ensuring guests enjoy their stay. She is passionate about using locally sourced produce and guests can enjoy homemade preserves and soft fruit from the walled garden.

Upstairs the bedrooms are comfortable with well-appointed en-suite bathrooms. The Red Kite Room has a bath and power rain shower and The Blue room has a shower as well as an extra-long king size bed. There are exquisite views of the Mourne Mountains from one side of the house. Guests are welcome to enjoy the mature garden and relax on the terrace.

A recent guest described Kiltariff as  “Off the beaten track, but close to everything”. Situated on the edge of the Mourne Mountains, guests can be provided with maps and directions for most of the walks. Wildlife enthusiasts will not be disappointed.
