Singer-songwriter Briege Murphy is a native of The Ring of Gullion Valley, – an area rich in songs and storytelling. Her songs are often inspired by the surroundings of the beautiful hill country in which she was reared and still lives. Her songs ‘The Hills of South Armagh’ and ‘Cloghinne Winds’ amongst others, have been recorded by many artists across the globe. Briege has been described as ‘an Irish Nanci Griffiths’ by Living Tradition magazine.
Joanna Doran is a passionate, versatile musician, a respected and highly regarded violin / fiddle soloist and piano accompanist. She is a seasoned session musician, regularly performing on stage, or in the recording studio, across a variety of music genres. She has been immersed in folk and traditional music since childhood, achieving various awards, and been particularly successful in classical achievement on solo violin.
Martha Guiney was brought up in the hallowed company of Irish folk and traditional music, beginning her education in music as a child, when her natural ability as a whistle or flute player was recognised. Martha has performed all over the world, delighting audiences with her unique style of playing and she was recently awarded the accolade of ‘Young BBC Musician of the Year’.
