Make and design your own unique hand-built butter dish, complete with impressed designs and hand painted colours on a beautiful cream clay body. 

Tutor Andrea will take you step-by-step through the process of rolling, shaping and decorating your butter dish using a range of clay tools and stamps to build your design. 

Once you’ve decorated your dish you will apply underglaze colour directly to the clay.

Your completed dish will be taken back to Andrea’s studio to dry, glaze and double fire in the kiln. Ceramics will be returned to the venue approximately two weeks later.

All materials are supplied. Participants should wear an old shirt or apron.

Calling all star bakers and sweet treat lovers! It’s party time at The Market Place Theatre on 1st March. Celebrate our 25th birthday bash at this special celebration cupcake decorating workshop themed to glittery stars and music.

You’ll get hands on experience decorating a box of 12 cupcakes to take home. Learn to pipe buttercream like a pro and handle and colour using florist paste.

Colour and cut sugar paste to top your cupcakes for a domed finish then complete your creations by making rainbow, marbled and colourful stars and music notes from icing and fondant. All materials provided.
