Pyrography

Thurs 24 Sept | 6pm – 9pm | £30

Discover the art of pyrography, a traditional technique of drawing with heat in this calm and carefully guided workshop. Using a heated pen, you’ll learn how to burn delicate linework and shading into wood, creating a softly detailed landscape inspired by natural scenes. Over this 3-hour session you’ll build your design step-by-step before enhancing your finished piece with subtle watercolour washes. Perfect for beginners, this mindful experience encourages slow, creative focus. No experience required, all materials supplied.

Self Portrait Poetry with Niamh McNally

Sat 21 Nov | 10am – 1pm | £30

“A bird doesn’t sing because it has an answer; it sings because it has a song.” Maya Angelou
Everyone has a story to tell. Everyone has a song. Each of us have lives that are made up of different selves, different experiences and shifting roles. During this relaxed workshop with poet Niamh McNally, we will explore everything that makes us, us. From our names to our identities, our histories to our future selves. Come and write the version or versions of you, through experimental poetic structures and forms, poetic techniques, and most importantly, we will use that beautiful poetic licence to play and find freedom in our writing!
