Experimental Mark-Making & Sketchbook Workshop

Thurs 8 Oct | 7pm – 9pm | £25

Celebrate the freedom of drawing and making in this playful, hands-on workshop. You will use elongated drawing tools such as bamboo to explore large-scale drawing techniques from a standing position as well as using charcoal, graphite and ink working at tables to experiment with gesture and mark-making. You’ll then design and learn to bind your own handmade sketchbook using a mix of new and recycled materials, creating a personalised space for future ideas. Open to all levels, this relaxed session encourages curiosity and creativity. Participants will leave with a unique sketchbook and simple binding guide to continue their practice at home.
All materials will be provided; however, participants are welcome to bring along any paper surfaces of their own to incorporate into their sketchbook.

Get into the festive spirit and create your own set of beautiful, fused glass decorations in this relaxing, hands-on workshop. Guided by glass artist Natasha Duddy, you’ll design and make a selection of charming seasonal pieces, including a classic winter robin, a decorative Christmas wreath, and a delicate angel.
You’ll learn the fundamentals of glass cutting and explore how to layer vibrant coloured frits and fine glass stringers to bring texture, detail and sparkle to your designs. Whether you choose traditional festive tones or colours to complement your home, each piece will be uniquely yours.
