Customers using wheelchairs or those who require special assistance attending an event should contact the Box Office in advance so that appropriate assistance can be arranged.

The Market Place Theatre has achieved the Autism NI Impact Award with the aim of creating a more autism friendly environment for our customers. As part of this process, our staff have already worked alongside Autism NI to gain knowledge in the fundamentals of autism, and as a result three staff members been appointed as autism champions. Our champions have completed an accredited assessment and are now responsible for overseeing the implementation of an agreed plan of adjustments.

As part of these adjustments, we will be introducing additional relaxed performances, providing a designated quiet area, producing a visual story to be made available on our website and at the Box Office, offering familiarisation tours of the building, and providing sensory materials.

Our autism champions are also happy to provide pre-show tours of the venue to families and individuals who wish to avail of this service to improve their visitor experience. Please note tours must be booked in advance with the Box Office on 03300 561 025 .
