FE Virtual Children’s Workshops

Mini Crafts for Little Hands’ is a free weekly digital craft series for children aged 4-11 years using only basic art materials or things you might find in your recycling – ideal for simple creative projects at home. 

Wolly Jellyfish

‘Mini Crafts for Little Hands’ is a digital craft workshop series with local artist Rachel Fitzpatrick.  A ‘craft hack’ will be posted weekly of a short video with Rachel showing you how to create little masterpieces a home.  This month’s theme is Ocean Discovery.  In this craft hack Rachel will be showing you how to create a Woolly Jellyfish.

Egg Carton Goldfish

Another ‘Mini Crafts For Little Hands’ digital workshop from Rachel Fitzpatrick.  This week Rachel will show you how to make cute little goldfish from recycled egg cartons.  This ‘craft hack’ is aimed at children aged 5-11 year old.

Paper Weave Seahorse

Another handpicked craft activity for the whole family to get involved in.  This week Rachel is sharing how to create paper weave sea creatures.  In this video she will give you quick and easy instructions to create a little paper weave fish – perfect for the littlest artists to start on.  This is a great, simple craft activity that can be adapted for a range of ages.

Check out Rachel’s step-by-step worksheets on how to make a paper weave seahorse.  These are ideal for older children looking for a creative challenge!  All the “Mini Crafts for Little Hands” workshops use basic art materials and things you might find in your recycling – perfect for lockdown, keeping imaginations continuing to run wild while staying safe at home.

Paper Ocean Aquarium

Get the whole family involved by following our simple step by step instructions to create a Paper Aquarium, which can easily be adapted to entertain a range of ages.  All the ‘Mini Crafts for Little Hands’ workshops by Rachel Fitzpatrick use basic arts materials and things you might find in your recycling – perfect while we are emerging from lockdown to continue to allow children’s imaginations to run wild.

Pirates Paradise

Have fun creating your own Pirates Paradise!  – Yarrr!!!

Follow local artist Rachel Fitzpatrick Design simple tutorial created from basic art materials or things you might find in your recycling.  This will hopefully keep kids entertained for hours while help their imagination to run wild creating their very own adventure world for pirates, mermaids and sea monsters to play in!

Beaded Firefly

Follow our simple step by step instructions to create these little characters to brighten your home and help imaginations run wild!  This month’s inspirations changes from Ocean Discovery to Garden Adventurer!
