F.E. McWilliam Gallery

The F.E. McWilliam Gallery and Studio is dedicated to the memory of sculptor Frederick Edward McWilliam, one of Ireland’s most influential and successful artists. F.E. McWilliam was born in Banbridge on the 30th April 1909. He died in London in 1992 and the executors of his estate donated the sculptor’s studio and its contents to the town of his birth.

Featuring a permanent display of McWilliam’s work, temporary exhibitions of Irish and international art, a craft shop, café and the F.E. McWilliam Gallery and Studio attracts a wide range of local, national and international visitors.

The F.E. McWilliam Gallery is about to embark upon a much-needed extension which will provide better access to F.E. McWilliam’s work, more provision for education workshops and community events, a larger café and shop and more general capacity to meet demand from locals and visitors. Our funders, the Government’s Levelling Up Fund, want to hear your views about the gallery, its exhibitions and events. Please help us meet their requirements by filling in the survey before 11 May.
