FACILITATED VISITS

At the F.E. McWilliam Gallery and Studio visits from groups of all ages and abilities are welcomed.
Facilitated visits are free of charge and include a guided tour of the exhibitions, lasting approximately 40 minutes.
Our Gallery Guides have been specifically trained to give these guided tours, ensuring the visitor gets the opportunity to directly engage with original artwork. Group visits to the F.E. McWilliam Gallery & Studio can be an uplifting experience, providing visitors with the opportunity to directly engage with original artwork. Workshops can be organised in addition to a guided, a charge will be applied according to the nature of the workshop.

If you are planning a group visit to the F.E. McWilliam Gallery your tour should be booked at least two weeks in advance. The gallery can accommodate groups of around 30 people at a time. You can contact the gallery on 028 406 23322.

An extensive education and community programme is organised in conjunction with each exhibition and experienced Gallery guides are always on hand to give tours and provide information on the art works on display. Families are very welcome to drop into the gallery and visits are free of charge. Baby changing facilities are available at the Gallery.

Visits for primary and secondary level students can be used to support various aspects of the curriculum.

EDUCATION & OUTREACH PROGRAMME

Artist led workshops and classes for adults and children are held regularly and a programme of lectures is run in conjunction with most exhibitions. The Gallery has quickly become a popular destination for groups from Primary, Post Primary, third level and Special Needs schools. Numerous Community Groups have also enjoyed tours of the Gallery and the facilities.
